Stayed here for a works course. Rooms are of a decent size, clean and inviting. Pool and gym facilities are of a decent standard. Food in the hotel restaurant is pricey which is to be expected but in return you get decent size portions and to a better than Weatherspoons standard. Staff are extremely polite, happy and helpful.

We stayed with our two year old and can't recommend or thank the staff enough for such a lovely visit. The check in staff were very friendly and gave our two year old a colouring pack which he loved. They also had free fruit available. The room and bathroom was clean and we all slept great. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the three course kids meal was free which was absolutely amazing. Our food was great and well cooked and the breakfast the next morning was brilliant too. The pool was warm and we had a fun time in the morning before we checked out. The kid's corner at the restaurant was also a nice touch that our kid loved and enjoyed the books and toys there Would definitely recommend to any families looking for somewhere to stay on a Birmingham visit as it's a good distance from the city centre and easy to get to.

Spotless, spacious, accessible room. Can't put into words how much better this has been compared to a similarly priced Premier Inn accessible room. Added to that , a warm welcome and a lovely looking bar area. Ideally located for travelling onwards to Birmingham NEC. Dogs can stay too for a small supplement Thanks Holiday Inn, for a stress-free stay!

Good location and comfortable stay. Had an issue where I didn’t turn up on the first day of my booking and they initially refused to check me in and told me there were no rooms left for me. The general manager however very kindly let us stay for the rest of the booking. So very grateful to him/her. If you have a disability or young children you need to mention that you want a ground floor room when booking, as I couldn’t see there was a lift.

Staff are brilliant, well trained and attentive. Miss Rebecca who used to check me in, but the trainees on reception are great. However, with several heatwaves this year the air con doesn’t work in many rooms. This puts the staff in awkward conversations with customers. As a regular visitor this is my main complaint and when I ask for a room with working air con you see their stress levels rise! Not fair on the staff and needs sorting! Food is fine, but ordering via Tablet isn’t acceptable when room prices average £100-£150 per night. Where’s the service? It has to be said though, the HI Team are a lovely bunch of people.
